Following his death, some of his previously unreleased tracks were made public. On November 15th, 2017, he planned a promotional tour for the album, but tragedy struck during the tour, and he died. On August 15, 2017, his debut album, ‘Come Over When You’re Sober,’ debuted at number 168 on the Billboard 200 chart and peaked at number 38. His songs were uploaded to ‘YouTube’ and ‘SoundCloud,’ garnering millions of views and hits. This marked the start of Peep’s true mainstream success. Peep later joined another rap group known as ‘Gothboiclique,’ with whom he released his first full-length mixtape, ‘Crybaby,’ in mid-2016. Their friendship remained intact, and they occasionally collaborated on each other’s future projects. When more of the group’s rappers rose to prominence, the group disbanded. He followed up his debut mixtape with an EP titled ‘Feelz’ and another mixtape titled ‘Live Forever.’ He achieved true commercial success after the release of his single ‘Beamer Boy.’ Because of the song’s popularity, he decided to hold his first concert with his band ‘Schemaposse’ in Tucson, Arizona. In its first week, ‘Lil Peep Part One was only viewed 4,000 times. Peep became a member of the Schemaposse collective after only a few months. Things changed when he met a music producer named JGRXXN and a couple of rappers named Ghostemane and Craig Xen. He had a lot of social media friends in New York, and he began seeing them one by one as soon as he arrived in Los Angeles. He ran out of money just a few months after arriving in Los Angeles and spent a few nights without a place to sleep. Underground artists such as the Seshhollowwaterboyz collective and rapper iLoveMakonnen influenced him. He went by the stage name Lil Peep in Los Angeles.
